As the graduates in Liberia and elsewhere proved
the value of quality Christian education, it became apparent that
this same ministry must be made available to other parts of Africa.
Thus, in 1988, African Bible Colleges established an institution in
the East African country of Malawi.
GREAT NEWS: PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS MAY NOW APPLY ON-LINE!
Location:
The campus is located on the outskirts of Malawi's
beautiful capital city, Lilongwe - "The Garden City."
Not only is the campus in the center of the country, but it is also
within easy access to the Kamuzu International Airport for the college's
foreign students who come from Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia,
and Mozambique.
Professors:
African Bible College has made every effort to establish
in Malawi not only the highest academic standards and to provide
the most qualified professors, but also to develop the finest facilities.
The 24-building campus includes six residence dormitories, seven
staff houses, a 12,000-volume library, a 20-station computer lab,
a dining hall, a modern communications building, and the country's
only sports gymnasium.
Admission Requirements:
Applicants for admission need to have completed all
secondary-school requirements and must successfully pass the national
high school examination (MSCE). Applicants must also sit for ABC's
own entrance test and obtain letters of recommendation from individuals
who can evaluate the applicant's character and Christian commitment.
Students must also give evidence of a genuine conversion experience
and must demonstrate a sincere desire to study the Word of God and
to grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ.
The Degree:
African Bible College's four-year program is designed
to award its graduates a bachelor of arts degree in biblical studies
as well as give students an opportunity to minor in either Communications
or Christian Education.
The Graduates:
Across the continent, graduates of African
Bible College are in demand. They are being placed in key leadership
positions by evangelical denominations, para-church groups, mission
organizations, and a host of other ministries. Graduates are involved
in church planting, Christian radio production, school administration,
and Christian literature translation.
