Bible is a required part of our ABC Christian Academy curriculum. We use Positive Action for Christ for Grades Kindergarten through Ninth Grade. The program is cohesive and uses the NIV version. Each grade studies something different.
Reception – uses the Abeka K-4 Bible Activity Book. These activities are correlated with Bible lessons from the Preschool Bible Stories by Abeka. A guide to basic children's Bible Stories.
Kindergarten – Learning About God. This study teaches children about God through Bible Stories that highlight doctrines, scriptural principles and character traits. Emphasis on being and not just doing.
First Grade – Enjoying Gods Gifts. This study teaches first graders that all we have comes from God and that the greatest gift God gave us is His son, Jesus Christ.
Second Grade – Finding God Promises. A study of the life of Moses and his leadership of Israel to teach second graders that God rewards obedience.
Third Grade – Growing With God. The lives of Abraham, Jacob, Joseph and Daniel have a lot to tech third graders about the rewards of living for God.
Fourth Grade – Building Life Castles. Life is like a castle that is being built room by room into a beautiful edifice. If the right materials are used, this castle will last a lifetime. This concept is presented studying the life of Christ, the work of the Holy Spirit and the life and writings of Paul.
Fifth Grade – Possessing The Land. As God desired His people to possess the land of Canaan, so he desires his children to live a spiritual realm of promise and victory. This truth is presented as fifth graders survey every section of the Old Testament.
Sixth Grade – Winning The Race. Following the biblical theme of athletic competition, you will be led through this study to see the Christian life as a test of courage, inner strength and ultimate victory.
Seventh Grade – Wise up: Wisdom In Proverbs. This study covers wisdom, honoring our parents, attitudes, friends, and makes practical application to the everyday teens life.
Eighth Grade – The God-Man: Christ In The Gospels. This book studies in detail the life of Christ from birth to his resurrection. Details include his ministry, teachings, works, lessons, analogies and final days.
Ninth Grade – Route 66: Travel through the Bible. This text covers all 66 books of the Bible placing emphasis on major themes of each book. A great review.
