ABC Community Clinic

Laboratory We offer services such as automated blood count, rapid malaria testing, rapid HIV testing, pregnancy testing, blood chemistries. In the near future, we will have the capacity to do thyroid function testing, fertility testing, microbiology testing including cultures. We have two full-time lab technicians in our lab, as well as a full time lab assistant. Our lab undergoes quality control testing on a daily and weekly basis. We are approved by the Malawi National Tb Control Program as a certified Tb testing site.


Radiology We offer plain film x-rays, barium studies, intravenous urograms, and ultrasound imaging. We have a full-time x-ray technician on staff.

Outpatient Services We offer a low-cost "non-private" clinic to provide quality medical care at an affordable price. We also have a private clinic, an "under 5" child wellness clinic, a nutrition education clinic.

Outreach Currently we operate a mobile clinic to a nearby village offering preventive services as well as a "sick child" clinic. From time to time, we go to the nearby prison with the college outreach program to provide medical services there.



Pharmacy We offer quality medications from Europe, the United States, South Africa, and India. We operate two pharmacies within the clinic facility. One is a reduced cost pharmacy available to our "non-private" clinic patients.

HIV treatment We offer comprehensive HIV care including counseling and testing, anti-retroviral medications, and treatment for co-existing illness. Our clinical staff has participated in the Malawi government training on anti-retroviral medications. We have 4 trained HIV counselors on staff.
