105 - World History I - 3 hours:
An integrated course tracing the development of culture
from prehistoric times to the fourteenth century. Study of the culture
as a whole, including the historical events and development of thought
as wean in the philosophies, literature, and art of each era.
106 - World History II - 3 hours:
This is a continuation of the introductory course
in world history, which leads the student on a journey across the
span of human existence upon this planet. The different major cultures
and societies of mankind will continue to be examined, starting
from the earliest recognizable civilization to the end of the medieval
period. The textbook that was selected will continue to give helpful
illustrations that enable the student to visualize the text material.
207 - Church History - 3 hours:
An overall view of early, Reformation and modern
church history. A better understanding of present church conditions
as seen in the light of the past. Illustrations from the past for
present application. An understanding of onesÍ denominational
history and polity.
208 - African Church History - 3 hours:
Facts will be obtained of Reformation, modern and
African Church History for a proper understanding of church history.
Historical data and events will be integrated in the light of God's
Word.
314 - Social Science - 2 hours:
Introduction in comparative societies of four developed
nations and four developing nations. This course allows for comparison
of social structures and developmental patterns. Basic concepts
of social relations and cultural dynamics are discussed. Related
problems are dealt with topically, then societies are evaluated
to determine how well they withstand times of change and crises.
