330 - World Religions - 2 hours:
This course is intended to provide a historical analysis
of the salient facts connected with the rise of world religions.
To also do a theological evaluation of the major teachings of those
world religions. Research will also be done on those religions and
cults relative to Africa.
409 - Biblical Principles of Missions - 3
hours:
A study of the centrality of GodÍs redemptive
acts on behalf of mankind from the Old and New Testaments. A look
at the unique mission of the Church in the context of its general
ministry with special focus on the Great Commission. An insight
into the role of both the cultural and supracultural in the context
of cross-cultural evangelism. An overview of the contemporary challenge
of reaching three billion people whom has yet to become obedient
to the Gospel.
441 - World Missions Today (The Kingdom of
God in Global Perspective) - 2 hours:
Examination of the Biblical mandate, "Go into
the entire world", and the responsibility of today's generation
to respond to the call of propagating the gospel. The course is
designed to inform, motivate, and challenge the student to participate
in the task of world evangelism. It will study the definition, scope,
and give an overview of world missions, its activities today, and
help develop an in depth appreciation for worldwide missions.
442 - Urban Missions - 2 hours:
A study of the process of urbanization and Christian
witness within that environment. Special attention will be paid
to African urbanization and ministry to those on the fringes of
African urban society.
